The Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences invites applications for a 6-month collaborative stay of a senior researcher in the Physics of Galaxies Group at the Prague section of the Institute. The stay will be funded through a working agreement in the framework of the project “Support of international collaboration in astronomy”, which is provided by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The monthly salary will be approximately 3900 Eur and it includes health insurance. The commencement is expected in the beginning of May 2022.

The collaboration will be on the topic of "Massive star clusters" with a special focus on the development of a numerical model describing the formation and initial evolution of massive star clusters. This model will be used used to create simulated observations of young massive star clusters in radio and infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. The simulated observations will be compared to archive data obtained with ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter and submillimeter Array), LMT (Large Millimiter Array), ESO telescopes, and other instruments. A successful applicant will collaborate mainly with R. Wünsch, J. Palouš and S. Ehlerová.

Applications containing a Cover Letter, describing shortly the research plan for the collaborative stay, a Curriculum Vitae, and a List of Publications in the research area defined above should be submitted in a single pdf.
