The Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences invites applications for a 4-month collaborative stay of a senior researcher in the Relativistic Astrophysics Group at the Prague section of the Institute. The stay will be funded through a working agreement in the framework of the project “Support of international collaboration in astronomy”, which is provided by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The monthly salary will be approximately 3900 Eur and it includes health insurance. The commencement is expected on the 6th of April 2021.


The collaboration will be on the topic of "Variability of Active Galactic Nuclei" with a special focus on reverberation in different wavelength bands – optical, UV and X-ray as part of the broader research of our group in the field of supermassive black holes in Active Galactic Nuclei, aiming to study the processes taking place in their close
vicinity and the mutual interactions of the main system components - supermassive black hole, accretion disc and hot corona. A successful applicant will collaborate mainly with Michal Dovčiak.
