The Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences invites applications for a 4-month collaborative stay of a junior researcher from the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences at the University College Dublin in Ireland. The stay will be funded through a working agreement in the framework of the project "Support of the international collaboration in astronomy", which is provided by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports under contract number CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/18_053/0016972. The monthly gross salary will be approximately 3200 Eur and it includes health insurance. The commencement is expected on the 1st of June 2022.
The collaboration will be on the topic of "Gravitational Wave modeling for the LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) detector" with a special focus on the modeling of gravitational waves from extreme mass ratio inspirals (EMRIs). A successful applicant will collaborate with the gravitational wave group in Dublin, which includes Niels Warburton, Barry Wardell, Sarp Akcay and Vojtech Witzany.
Applications containing a Cover Letter, describing shortly the research plan for the collaborative stay, a Curriculum Vitae, Diploma or confirmation of the study, a List of Publications in the research area defined above, and a recommendation by supervisor.
