The Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences (ASU) invites applications for a 3-month full-time Senior Research Stay at the University of Göttingen. The Stay will be funded through a working agreement in the framework of the project “Support of international collaboration in astronomy”, which is provided by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

The aim of this Research Stay is to develop numerical tools necessary for simulating instabilities occuring in atmospheres of massive star in late evolutionary phases and identify suitable candidates for such instabilities in high quality data from ESA-PLATO mission dedicated for monitoring asteroseismic activity of stars.

The applicant should be employee of the ASU, should have PhD in astronomy, astrophysics or a related field received at least 7 years before the start of the Stay, H-index at least 8.5, be PI or co-PI of at least one grant project during last 5 years, and be co-author of at least 3 publications during last 5 years.
